RECONSTRUCT PHASE

Fred still found even more problems
as he dug in deeper and he didn't want them sneaking back after all of
the work to be done on the body and paint. Many more calls to Ron asking "how much do you love this car ?" were made. Good thing we were friends !

NEXT: BUMPERS TO BE SANDED AND PREPPED FOR PAINT

Structural replacements: Trunk lid, Hood, both doors, Fenders, Fiberglass factory ground trim, Front / rear plastic bumper / body inserts, Upper and lower interior floor pans, Trunk Floor Sides, Rear chassis ends, body mounts, mirror & door hinge reenforcements, Door motors, Lock solenoids. (Doors can now be fully open for shows without any sagging over time). My rear wing was still factory with all parts intact. Ends were pinned so they would not slip off as many do over time.

4 coats of black with 1 coat of clear before
car is masked for stripes and lettering.

This is the Hurst Olds all masked out and ready
for the factory striping and Logo package !
But this isn't a decal kit. It was masked all around
so it could be "painted" on and then cleared
over, no more sun fading, or wax build up
where a decal would normally be. 8/12/02

Ready for lower grey and chip guard painting
